Shower Repair & Re-Grout

"What is Grout?"

Grout is a mixture of sand and binders that hold it together. Grout comes in many different colors and is used to fill in the empty areas between tiles.

Grout is porous in nature and small uneven surfaces not seen by the naked eye can trap all the dirty, grimy things in your shower.

Soap scum builds and mold and bacteria thrive on the debris. All mold mildew needs is an unventilated, warm, damp area and a place to cling. This grime builds up and hides the true color of the tile and makes your white grout not-so-white.

"Why does my shower look dirty or moldy no matter how hard I scrub or what cleaner I use?"

Common Problems Affecting Tile and Grout

Mold and Mildew

Hard Water Spots

Soap Residue

Bleach will not remove hard water deposits that may be on top of the mildew.

Your shower will need to be re-grouted in order to bring it back to its original beauty.

"What can DTR do to make my shower beautiful and clean again?"

Don’t fret there is no need to waste time or money remodeling the shower.

We can re-grout your shower and dramatically improve the appearance as if you had remodeled the shower. By using professional tools, a technician will remove the grout from around the tiles and then will place new grout in between the tiles.

This simple fix gives your bathroom a brand-new look and feel for a fraction of the cost and hassle of a shower remodel.

"How long do I need to wait before using my shower after

re-grouting?"

Based on grout manufacturer guidelines you should allow the grout to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before use of your beautiful “new” shower.
